ANZIBEL

This medicine contains the active ingredients: 5mg of chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, 4mg of benzocaine and 3mg of enoxolone. Chlorhexidine has antibactetial effect (it destroys bacteria), and it is used as antiseptic. Benzocaine serves as an anesthetic, and enoxolone is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.  This medicine is intended for local and temporary symptomatic relief of moderate infectious and inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat, and sore throat without fever, caused by external factors such as smog, sudden changes in temperature and dust.

Is Anzibel suitable for me?

Anzibel is not suitable for everyone. Do not use it

• if you are allergic to chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, benzocaine, enoxolone or to other ingredients of this medicine
• if you have phenylketonuria (PKU) (increase level of phenylalanine acid in the body)

 In particular, you must tell the doctor if you:

• have a fever, headache, nausea or vomiting
• are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breast-feeding

Anzibel interacts with other medicines. It is most important that you tell the doctor all the medications and herbal supplements that you are currently taking.

How should I take Anzibel?

This medicine is available in form of a pastille.

You should take Anzibel exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is

• Adults and children over 12 years: 1 pastille every 2 to 3 hours. The maximum dose is 8 pastilles daily.
• Children 6-12 years of age: 1 pastille every 4 to 5 hours. The maximum dose is 6 pastilles daily.

Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, or do not use it for a longer time than your doctor instructed. Also, this medicine works best if there is a constant amount in the blood. To help keep this amount constant, do not miss any doses and take the medicine at the same time each day. Do not take two doses together if you miss a dose.

What are Anzibel side effects?

Like all medicines Anzibel can cause side effects, including:

• generalized allergic reactions (sometimes with symptoms of runny nose, itching and skin rash);
• irritation of the mouth, irritation of tip of the tongue;
• pain, itching, swelling or redness in the mouth and around them;
• disorders of the digestive system;
• dysgeusia (taste disturbance);
• edema (swelling due to fluid retention);
• high blood pressure (hypertension);
• pigmentation of teeth.
